1882 – Anna Klepaczyk was the last child born to John Klepaczyk & Mary Kozlawski 130 years ago in Michigan.

1912 – Alice Hallman was born in Metz, Michigan 100 years ago to Anthony Hallman & Clara Syzmanski.  (1st cousin 2x removed)

1875 – Franz Hincka (25) married Dorothea Detlaff (29) in Detroit, Michigan 137 years ago.  They were married at St. Albertus Church by Pastor Alfonsus, and witnesses were Franz Czap and Rosana Ditlaf.  (2nd great-grandparents)

1882 – John F. Sinyard (23) married Mary A. Bittles (17) at her father’s house in Lemont, Illinois 130 years ago.  (2nd great-grandparents)

1885 – John Ostrowski (24) married Elisabeth Lachovski (18) in Detroit, Michigan 127 years ago.   They were married in St. Albertus Catholic Church by Pastor D.H. Kolasinski and witnesses were Anton Ostrowski & Joseph Lachowski.  (2nd great-grandparents)

1904 – Julia Chesney was born in Michigan 108 years ago to Joseph Chesney & Elizabeth Uttech.

Tombstone Tuesday – Sinyard (Illinois)


The Sinyard family rests in Cass Cemetery in Downer’s Grove, Illinois.  There is the main family stone with 4 stones along side of it.  Two of the stones belong to the two wives of John Sinyard.  Eliza Garlick died in 1875.  John then married Esther who died in 1914.  Della, the young daughter of John and Eliza died in 1869 and rests next to Esther.  John himself died in 1918 and rests next to his beloved wife, Eliza.
